Now a day it a common news that “My Account has been Hacked”. Have you thought why this happen today my Facebook, Email account has been hacked next may be you. Now I have taken some small but useful steps to secure my account. And I suggest you too to follow these steps before your accounts are hacked.
Basically, hackers don’t trap your account password but they try to change your account password without knowing your old password, Shocked!! It’s true, they do this from your email where you get a notification that you have “reset your password of facebook account” that will help you changing your password without knowing your old password.
So the first step is to protect your Email.
Tips to protect your Email:
We usually use ‘FORGOT MY PASSWORD’ feature of Email account which help any user to reset their password if ever he forget his password. It’s really useful but these can be use by hacker to hack your Email account. So it’s my advice not to use such feature in future…
How can I disable the “FORGET MY PASSWORD”:-
Most of the e-mail providers ask u to enter a secret question or asks about your birthday or any private data…
‘DON’T GIVE THEM ANY OF THESE’ so “FORGOT UR PASSWORD” will not work at all but what if I WANT TO USE IT how can I use it without making it so easy to be hacked???
Let’s assume that my birthday is on “3/12/1993”. But how many people can take this data about me?? So it’s not secure to use it so let me make some changes I’ll make it “12/3/2001″ is that a very big deal??? I’ll assume that I have 2 birthdays one of them for the real life and the other for the Internet use…
So let me put it in my mind (my real birthday is “3/12/1993” and my internet e-mail is “12/3/2001″) about putting your real e-mail on facebook… it’s OK since it is different than the one on the e-mail…
How to deal with SECRET QUESTION Feature of Email…
Since there are many question to select you can select any of them and while writing the answer for that make some silly changes like-
If the Question is “WHAT IS YOUR FIRST PET NAME”
So instead of using familiar name like ‘PINTU, RAM, PARTH” make a silly change on the name like misspell it let it be instead of PARTH let it be (PARTH185) that’s cool… like protecting my E-mail with 2 different passwords….
Tips to select a strong password:-
For selecting a password Select a password that contain a small and capital letters wth aome symbols like(!@#$%^) and also numbers and most important don’t keep it short.
But main problem is to memorized this password. Don’t worry I a solution for that!
Suppose I want to change my password to “My best friend is a book” which is not at all hard to memorize. So “My best friend is a book” can be changed to
“M b F i @ B 420” i.e. “MbFi@B420”
I took the first letter of every word and toggle them smalls and capitals and changed the word (a) to (@) and finally I multiplied by 420
It’s very easy, I can never forget this password…
Can u guess it? I can’t and the best hacker all over the world can’t!
It’s very hard to be hacked and guessed…
