In this post I will discuss about how you can use Pinterest efficiently to get traffic to your blogs .

Title Of Board
Create a variety of boards and make sure that the name of board must contain your targeted key words, this will be helpful for your board to get searched in search engines.
For Example, the name of board “Places I Like”  is not more effective than “Florida Beaches” .

Name Of Image
Same applies here as well as the name of board, make sure that the file name of image must contain targeted keyword.
For Example, “Feb1-0654.jpg” is not going to rank well as “keyword.jpg“.

Size Of Image
Image which is 300 pixel wide is too small to be pinned, Pinterest doesn’t limit the vertical size of the image. The maximum horizontal width of the image is 554 pixel, anything greater will be resized. Try to make image’s vertical size such that pinners need not to scroll down to see whole image, if they scrolls down then, the chance of scrolling up and repining reduces.

Pin From Many Sources
You should pin from different different sources, not only from your own blog. Commenting, repining and liking of your pins plays a very important role to make a good network. You should share such things which people like so that they can repin your pins.

Proper Description
Pinterest allows you to put description of 500 words, but the long description may annoy pinners. Try to make small description, which contains your targeted keywords. Put the more description in the comment section.

Do Some Research
Research Pinterest to see what catches your eyes, and what keep you engaged with the image. Remember more engagement equals more followers, which ultimately make you more powerful .

Adding Link
As Pinterest provide do-follow link, so you should not miss this opportunity to grab one. If you are uploading your own image the Pinterest does not add links by default you have to do it manually  But if you are pinning from websites pin it button, then they will automatically adds the link.

Add Pin-It and Follow Button
It is good to add Pin-it and Follow buttons so that your reader can easily pin it or they can also fallow your boards on Pinterest. This will increase your readers as well as your network.

Repin and Comment
This is something you should do more importantly, you should try to repin or comment on others pin. It will help you to increase more no of followers and make influence. Remember if you can’t repin others pins, then don’t expect from others to repin yours.
